ELK FOREST CIVIC ASSOCIATION, MEETING MINUTES – June 12, 2025

Call to Order was at 6:32 PM
Quorum was verified – (Mitchell, S)
Previous Minutes Review – (Mitchell, S). A motion was made to approve the Minutes, it was seconded, and all were in favor.
Treasurer’s Report – Megahed, L (See attached). A motion was made to approve the Financial Report, it was seconded, and all were in favor.
Old Business
Website Report – (Mitchell, D) The website is averaging a few consistent visits per day.
Mosquito Spraying – (Mitchell, S) The one (1) mosquito spray for the season began on the evening of June 11, 2025.
The 2025 Spring Cleanup was a success with contributions from several families.
The May 3, 2025 Cinco de Mayo themed Progressive Dinner was also a success!
New Business
Neighborhood Vandalism – Please report any vandalism or suspicious activity to the authorities.
Annual Meeting Planning– This event is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd at the Hembree home, 1420 Elk Forest Road, and with a Rain-date of August 3rd.
Discuss Alternative Board Meeting Schedule for 2026– There was a motion made by Mitchell, S to skip the June 2026 meeting next year due to summer scheduling conflicts the last several years. The motion included forming a committee during the April 2026 meeting to organize the 2026 Annual Picnic and Meeting. The board members discussed the motion, it was seconded, and the majority voted to cancel the June 2026 meeting.

Open Discussion – There are several pot holes on Elk Forest Rd. Mitchell, S volunteered to call the roads department to initiate the complaint. Patching occurred June 17, 2025
